This one day musical cuckoo clock cottage features animated figures including a beer drinker who raises his mug, a turning waterwheel, and revolving dancers at every hour and half-hour. The clock alternates between two traditional melodies, Edelweiss and The Happy Wanderer, and includes hourly and half-hour cuckoo calls. The mechanical 30-hour Regula movement operates using three pine cone weights that power the time, music, dancers, and cuckoo functions. A continuously swinging pendulum regulates time and includes a manual sound shut-off for quiet operation. Hand-made and tested in the Black Forest of Germany, this clock combines detailed carving with classic chalet-style animation.
