The Cartesian Diver Apparatus with Cylinder from GSC International is an engaging, hands-on demonstration of buoyancy and atmospheric pressure. A 2.5-inch tall hand-blown glass Cartesian diver rises and falls in a water-filled cylinder as pressure is applied and released. A red band around the diver’s neck enhances visibility during experiments.

Pressure is applied by compressing a rubber sheet stretched over the cylinder, allowing students to observe how increasing or decreasing pressure affects the diver. This apparatus is perfect for physical science classrooms, STEM labs, and interactive demonstrations.
