The scene includes a hand-carved dog, deer, and two Black Forest trees, all set against traditional chalet white walls with carved windows and curtains. Two cast iron pine cone weights power the 30-hour mechanical movement, which must be wound daily. The hand-carved maple leaf pendulum regulates the clock’s timing.
