This electric calorimeter is designed to measure the heat energy produced by solid or liquid fuels in classroom and laboratory settings. Each unit features a mounted heating coil with approximately 1.5 ohms resistance and standard binding posts for electrical connection. When connected to a 6 volt battery, the coil produces an approximate temperature increase of 5 degrees Celsius in 10 minutes. Supporting posts and the heating coil are coated to help prevent electrolysis during repeated use. An insulated stirrer supported by a rubber stopper is included to improve temperature consistency. Product dimensions for each unit are approximately 4 inches long x 4 inches wide x 6.31 inches high. Sold in a case of 50. Instructions included.
