This Wimhurst machine is designed for visual demonstrations of static electricity and high voltage charge in physics classrooms. The charging discs are made from durable clear acrylic, while aluminum sheets mounted on the discs create electrical charge as they pass metal brushes. Plastic upright supports, Leyden jars, and pulleys are resistant to breakage, making the apparatus suitable for repeated classroom use. Under proper weather conditions, the machine can generate sparks up to 2" long for clear observation.
Product dimensions: 10" L × 11.5" W × 13.5" H. An instruction guide is included to support setup and classroom demonstrations.
