This electric calorimeter is designed to measure the heat energy produced by solid or liquid fuels in a classroom or laboratory setting. The unit features a mounted heating coil with approximately 1.5 ohms resistance and standard binding posts for electrical connection. When connected to a 6 volt battery, the coil produces a temperature increase of about 5 degrees Celsius in 10 minutes. Supporting posts and the heating coil are coated to help prevent electrolysis during use. An insulated stirrer supported by a rubber stopper is included for accurate temperature distribution. Product dimensions are approximately 4 inches long x 4 inches wide x 6.31 inches high. Instructions are included.
