This Quincke's Interference Demonstration apparatus provides a hands-on way to explore acoustic wave interference. It features two Y-shaped glass tubes connected by flexible latex tubes of different lengths. When a struck tuning fork is held at the end of one Y-tube, the waves travel down the tubes and interfere with each other.
The apparatus allows students to observe how waves in one Y-tube travel half a wavelength farther than in the other Y-tube, resulting in cancellation and no sound. Disconnecting one latex tube allows the sound to reappear, illustrating interference principles.
Adjustable for 256Hz or 512Hz using the longer latex tube. Tuning forks are not included. Perfect for classroom physics demonstrations and acoustic experiments.
